The bees at Mythe Farm had a very busy season last summer and became two colonies from just one before. With so many bees, this meant they needed to move a bit further along the hedge to avoid John the gardener obstructing their flight path and getting stung (again).
The Meetings Industry Association (MIA) held their Agent Day at Mythe Barn on Thursday 27th April. With the aim of giving venue representatives the opportunity to meet agents face to face and build relationships the sell-out event was attended by over 15 agents and 100 event professionals representing venues from Torquay to St Andrews.
Recently Garlands Corporate and Mythe Barn staff undertook first aid training at Mythe Farm near Tamworth with Gritstone Adventure Activities. Training included additional modules on treating casualties in the outdoor environment as well as in the general working environment. The course was delivered by Alan Cash, founder of the company, who made the course lively and engaging throughout and we would definitely recommend them. (more…)

Garlands Corporate are hosting the Team Building Zone at the World of Learning Conference and Exhibition again, and this year the organisers asked if we could incorporate a climbing wall in our stand. We said “yes, of course!” Phil Parkin – our Assistant Operations Manager – offered to explain how this seemingly individual pursuit involves both learning and team building.
